As the 100th anniversary of International Woman's Day is celebrated around the world a group of Canadian women continue to do their part to bolster female rights in Afghanistan. International Women's Day is a global celebration for the economic, political and social achievements of women. In a land where women are often treated like property and second class citizens it's a challenge for Canadian soldiers providing assistance and security. Corporal Nicole Bucci is a military police officer in the Zhari district and says she hopes she's viewed as a role model for young Afghan women.
